Vibe-coding is at an amazing level right now. A lot of developers use it. Some teams swear by it. LinkedIn is full of people showing what they built in an afternoon.

I use it every week. It is not magic. It is leverage - and leverage cuts both ways.

The 4–5× crowd and the mess they leave behind

A careful engineer with AI assistance can realistically hit 4× or 5× output today. That is not hype. That is what happens when you let the model handle scaffolding, boilerplate, and first drafts while you still review everything like a professional.

But not everyone does that part. Speed without judgment is how you get a repo that runs in a demo and falls apart in production. Wrong assumptions baked in fast. Tests that look real but assert nothing. Features nobody can maintain because the person who vibe-coded them already moved on.

I am not interested in winning a screenshot race. I am interested in software that still works when you are not watching.

Where my 7–8× comes from

The old playbook for a custom MVP was familiar: months of discovery, months of iteration, two or three developers, a long calendar before anyone could click the real workflow.

That math changed for me - not because I type faster, but because I use vibe-coding at the right points only:

  • Scaffolding and repetitive glue
  • Exploration and spike code I will throw away or rewrite
  • First drafts of tests, docs, and integration wiring

Then I edit hard. I keep architecture legible. I leave handoffs a human can own. I ship in slices an owner can actually try.

Done that way, my output is 7× to 8× what I could deliver before this tooling existed. Not because the AI did the thinking. Because it removed the work that was never worth a senior engineer's afternoon - and I did not pretend the removed work meant removed responsibility.

What that means if you hire me

You do not need a small army and a six-month runway to find out if an idea helps. You need one builder who can turn a sharp problem statement into a working slice in days, not quarters - and keep going without rewriting everything when version two arrives.

No more "we need three devs and Q3." More like: here is the painful workflow, here is a pilot you can click, here is what we measure next week.

That is the offer behind the multiplier: shorter loops, honest scope, production habits from day one. Vibe-coding is how I move faster. Discipline is why the result does not embarrass you in front of staff.

If your timeline still sounds like 2019

Ask why. The tools changed. The responsibility did not. Most people can get 4–5×. I get 7–8× because I know which parts to accept from the model and which parts still need a human who will be there after launch.

Reach out if you want that builder - not another team that needs six months to show you a login screen.
