Overview

This site is a personal portfolio for Roy Chiang. It does not require an account, and it does not sell personal data.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, this site uses Google Analytics 4 to measure anonymous traffic: pages visited, approximate location, device type, and referral source. Analytics cookies are not set until you choose Accept analytics in the cookie banner.

When analytics is enabled, clicks on resume, contact, and social links are recorded as anonymous link_click events in Google Analytics and stored in a secure database (Supabase) so I can see which paths visitors use to reach out or learn more.

If you decline, Google Analytics does not load and no analytics cookies are stored. You can change your choice anytime via Cookie preferences.

What Google may collect

When analytics is enabled, Google may process:

• Pages viewed and time on page
• Browser, device, and operating system
• Approximate geography (city/region level)
• Referring site or search engine

Lead capture

After you have browsed for a short while, this site may show an optional form asking for your name, role, and email so I can follow up when someone explores the portfolio. Submitting the form stores those details in a secure database (Supabase) that only I can access.

If you dismiss the form, your browser remembers that choice for about a week. After you submit once, the form does not appear again on that browser.

Local storage

Your theme preference (light or dark mode) is stored in your browser's local storage. Your analytics consent choice is also stored locally so the banner does not reappear on every visit.
